FAA
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration conducted extensive testing of Lasertronics’ closed-loop control laser ablation system. This testing confirmed that Lasertronics’ technology effectively prevents damage to the aluminum used in the manufacture of commercial aircraft wings, fuselages, and control surfaces. Following this test regimen, the FAA in 2010 expressed “no objection” to the use of Lasertronics’ system on all aluminum aircraft structures, including load-bearing and flight-critical surfaces on commercial aircraft. This means that Lasertronics systems can be used without exception anywhere on the aluminum surfaces of commercial aircraft, including wings and fuselages. No other laser ablation system has earned any comparable evaluation by the FAA or any other aviation regulatory body.
