Aircraft Coating Removal Payback
The financial analysis of any coating removal operation has these components:
- Capital cost of necessary equipment, structures, enclosures, and so forth.
- Labor cost, including man-hours (incremental and fully burdened), training, anticipated on-the-job injuries, and labor overhead.
- Waste disposal cost. Components include collection, storage, transportation, tipping, related labor, and often taxes and fees related to hazardous materials.
- Out-of-service cost for the equipment being maintained, during the time required for maintenance.
- Anticipated damage to the equipment being maintained, due to the risks inherent in the chosen method of maintenance.
